How you will make contributions that matter...

Responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.

All Saputo Cheese USA, Inc. Associates are responsible for understanding and applying Saputo Quality Policy to ensure that Saputo Quality Objectives are met. All associates are to fulfill the training requirements outlined in the Training Matrix, follow procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and utilize their knowledge, abilities and skills while performing all responsibilities in a manner that ensures the quality expectations and requirements of every internal and external customer are met and exceeded. Associates must show respect for others, use decision making by consensus, personally sacrifice for the team's benefit, share in the team's workload, take responsibility for action items, follow good communication processes, and take responsibility for personal actions.

You are best suited for the role if you...

  • Mix various products on the batching system carefully following mix instructions producing a quality product with no customer rejects, reruns, and minimal waste of materials.
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and product safety guidelines throughout the plant by practicing good housekeeping, maintaining quality of products, and preventing contamination of ingredients and finished product.
  • Sample product according to quality assurance guidelines to verify quality.
  • Perform routine inspections of all HTST equipment to ensure that equipment is in top working condition by following proper running procedures, performing low-end maintenance, and reporting equipment and safety issues to the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with all employee owners on performance and continuous improvement of daily operations as well as trial runs of new products to determine optimum efficiencies and conditions
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and HAACP Programs to ensure safety of self and others.
  • Complete CIP and COP of silos, lines, tanks, and related equipment to ensure cleanliness of equipment as per SOP.
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and product safety guidelines throughout the plant by practicing good housekeeping, maintaining quality of products, and preventing contamination of ingredients and finished product.
  • Maintain proper documentation of mixing and pasteurization processes according to outside agency guidelines as well as in-house procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections of all batching-related equipment to ensure that equipment is in top working condition by following proper running procedures, performing low-end maintenance, and reporting equipment and safety issues to the maintenance department, leads and operations manager.
  • Follow all safety rules and programs to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Communicate with and assist others by helping wherever and whenever to promote teamwork and make things run smoother and more efficiently.
  • Staging ingredients, cleaning your area, and assisting fellow employee owners in cleaning or setting up other areas and other duties, jobs and functions as assigned or required and any/all jobs or functions requested, assigned, or required.
  • Safely and effectively operate forklifts, pallet lifts, pallet jacks.

Salary Range: $49,440 - $64,890

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
