Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint is looking to expand its private cellular network (PCN) organization with an organized and proactive product owner. PCNs are increasingly being deployed by Enterprise Customers to address use cases where Wi-Fi is technically limiting due to lack of reliability (interference, congestion, security, application QoS) and where Public Cellular Networks are either too costly to subscribe to or do not provide end-to-end visibility. CBRS spectrum in the US has been the catalyst to drive 4G/LTE-based PCN adoption, and 5G is now starting to be adopted in many countries.

The PCN Product Owner will work cross-functionally (Product Management, R&D, Operations, Sales/Marketing) to shepherd the initiative and coordinate deliverables across teams. This role has high visibility as a part of an emerging technology space; it also requires a dynamic and proactive personality to help us define and optimize processes and improve scale and efficiency as the team grows.

Objectives of this role:

  • Drive initiative requirements and organization while maintaining sanity amongst cross-functional teams
  • Help the team convert strategic feature ideas into designs, executable stories, and release plans
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, track status, and interject as needed to keep teams on track
  • Reduce the tactical noise for product managers, architects, and delivery teams by overseeing agile processes and ceremonies
  • Support team cohesion and focus with clear communication and process excellence
  • Ensure that we continue to deliver the best products to customers and partners without delays
  • Drive velocity internally to deliver value in the form of external features and internal automation

What Will You Do?
  • Embed with engineering teams toguide PCN deliverables
  • Representthe voice of the customer; distill product requirements into actionable user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management& Engineeringto create and maintainteam backlog, articulatingbusiness valueand ensuring it aligns with the team's charter
  • Passionately prioritize the team's backlogand get the team 'ready for execution' thrubacklog refinement
  • Activelyparticipate in sprintmeetings to keep the teamalignedon priorities and scope
  • Embraceuncertainty,beflexible andprepare forthe fact that requirements will change with time, andplanhow to adapt to the changes without breakingthe team's executioncadence
  • Become a subject matter expert in the initiative's value, use cases, and related customer problem
  • Build and maintain a relationship with stakeholders
  • Train Support, Sales, and Marketing on the initiative
  • Provide market content input and schedule details for a feature launch
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three (3+) years of Product Manager, Product Owner, Program Manager, or R&D experience delivering cloud-based software solutions in an Agile development environment
  • Strong ability to understand both technical details and practical business use of applications
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and thought leadership, as well as the ability to lead initiatives through implementation; including the ability to translate requirements into user storiesand manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge and firsthand experience working with Jira/Confluence
  • Critical thinking skills to make intelligent and defendable decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Disorganization and lack of process drives you nuts (but you're also flexible and dynamic)
  • Fast executor, self-starter, eager to learn
