Position Summary

Assist in the development and execution of product support strategies and logistics support that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for programs that includes both hardware and software. Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and production support on acquisition logistics management activities to include development and/or review of acquisition logistics documentation, and evaluating the regulatory requirements to develop, field, and transition equipment and software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Support logistics actions to include but not limited to author Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, support material release activities and equipment Modified Work Orders, and logistics documentation
  • Support follow-on development of IPS element within the program systems portfolio product lines in the early development, planning and staffing of critical design documents necessary to field tactical communication system capabilities to the objective Force in accordance with AR 700-127, AR 700-142 & DA PAM 700-142
  • Apply the principles of life cycle management, and as component expert, consider facilities, equipment, geographic and climate conditions, and usage projections to oversee and monitor the planning and implementation of comprehensive DOD component logistics programs to include integration with environmental and safety requirements
  • Provide support to include maintenance of Program of Record and Non-Standard Equipment (NS-E) and its components, inventory management, spares and supply support, emergency on-site field service, activity reports, accountability of repair activities in the field, and maintain and submit failure analysis data to help desk and track material end to end closing out all work requests
  • Perform asset management activities such as equipment inventory, lateral transfers, audits, equipment catalog
  • Perform clerical, administrative and records management functions within program, property and logistics management
  • Use provided applications to track/reconcile/account/transfer project procured and organizational property
  • Provide support to material acquisition, warehousing, tracking, and issuing of supplies and material
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements with respect to COVID-19, as well as any Government or customer site-specific requirements. Knowledge and Skills

The required skills and knowledge include:
  • Experience with acquisition logistics and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
  • Experience working in a Product Support environment
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Support (IPS), acquisition logistics documentation
  • Proven experience serving as an expert logistics management specialist, including directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements
  • Extensive experience in the development of Integrated Logistics Support(ILS) deliverables using Product Support techniques and Logistic Product Data (LPD)/Logistics Maintenance Information (LMI) (i.e., Level of Repair Analyses (LORA), Logistics Support Analysis/Requirements (LSA/R), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Provisioning data, Spares Analysis, Packaging, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T), Support Equipment Recommendations (SERD)s), Tech Manual Development and Training
  • Good working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Product Safety
The minimum years of related experience required:

5 years minimum years of related experience required for the job

Education

The minimum level of education required is:
  • BS in Business, Supply chain, Systems Engineering or any technical degree

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
  • DAWIA Level I, II, or III Acquisition Lifecyle Logistics preferred
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with support analyses using electronic models (COMPASS, SESAME, EAGLE, OPUS, ICAPS, Powerlog-J, SLICWave etc.)

Other Qualifications

Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
  • Secret Clearance required, Top Secret preferred
  • Must be US Citizen
