Position Purpose:

  • Assist the production supervisor in leading hourly associates to achieve established safety r equirements, product quality standards, customer service goals, productivity levels, and good housekeeping goals. Responsible for assisting in the development of hourly associates with the organization's culture and cross training requirements. Motivate team members in the achievement of performance objectives. Continually improve response times and quality levels of the production systems. Train team members in the elimination of barriers to achievement.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist area Production Supervisor in achieving goals in quality, safety, delivery, and productivity.
  • Supervise the maintenance of a safe, clean, and secure work environment for all associates in a designated area.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of and adherence to all established company safety, quality, employee handbook policies, and procedures.
  • Plan, organize, and develop company resources to meet all established goals and objectives for on time shipment of product to customer.
  • Maintain and lead MOS process. Identify areas to improve and then lead efforts to complete the improvement.
  • Enforce all preventative maintenance schedules as applicable.
  • Assist production supervisors with coordinating the training for new associates for them to be trained effectively; develop plan for cross-training team to ensure station depth
  • Update Gemba boards by posting information as appropriate for quality, safety, MOS, OT etc.
  • Conduct department start of shift meeting.
  • Assist in all safety reporting for the station/area including near misses, accident and property damage investigations.
  • Quality facilitation: clear EP&T; Vision System issue resolution, PPCRs and s peed build sign-off.
  • Provide team performance feedback to production supervisor.
  • Complete non-routine projects or assignments, i.e. participation in Kaizen events and helps to lead improvement processes
Education and Training
  • Associates Degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Positive attitude. Set a good example for all. Embraces our core values of ACTT.
  • One to two years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively direct, motivate and coordinate all activities associated with the manufacturing processes required in the specified area of responsibility (fabrication & machining).
  • Extend shift by 30 minutes on each end.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft 365, AS400 systems
  • Must possess strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Lift up to 5 lbs.
  • Carry up to 5 lbs. approximately 25 feet
