  • Using planning, computer, and analytical skills creates the highly detailed production schedule in concert with corporate scheduling. Communicates schedule with all plant departments. Works in close communication with all operational departments
  • Reports to the Senior Operations Manager and has a hands-on knowledge of production planning, manufacturing operations, and team/facility capability.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Directly supervise and mentor three SAP Analysts across three shifts
  • Frequent contact with individuals at all levels within the plant in addition to corporate functional partners.
  • Decisions have a significant impact within the assigned area/shift in terms of plant performance, use of labor, safety, quality and Ferrara's and regulatory policies.
  • Ensure appropriate order fill in the entire network by ensuring timely production of finished goods
  • Partner with Operations, Sanitation, Quality, Logistics and Maintenance to plan and execute changeovers or modifying production plans to meet the business needs as directed from Product Availability. Ensure cost effectiveness and reduce volatility of production.
  • Development and timely delivery of a Weekly schedule by day to provide plant guidance of plant requirements by product, by line and by shift working closely with key stakeholders (Product Availability, Capacity Planning, Crew Scheduling, Operations, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, and Sanitation.
  • Owner of Plant Calendar Process and budget rates
  • Communicate weekly priorities and urgent scheduling
  • Maintain a weekly call with Logistics (Integrated Planning and Procurement) to discuss business performance, changes to forecast or business needs.
  • Understand capacity of plant to negotiate with logistics and prepare/ensure accurate shift/daily/quarterly plan.

Skills that will make you successful

Experience with SAP in a planning environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

• Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations is required

• Position requires disciplined/detailed planning and flexibility

• Strong problem solving ability and negotiation skills with internal and external customers

• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

Experiences that will support your success

Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience required OR High School diploma/GED and 5 years of work experience in highly related field
