The Lead Production Tech has direct oversight of assigned production fill room, equipment preparation or glassware preparation employees. They will carry out leadership responsibilities including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Effective communication with all levels of employees.
  • Perform simple math calculations.
  • Problem solve and handle conflict as well as make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Provide oversight of the Key Process Steps; i.e., equipment set up and alignment, defined line speed, hold times, machine prime, etc.
  • Media fill completed in strict adherence to the Batch Record and Media SOP requirements.
  • Validation run participation and sampling.
  • Perform on-the-floor batch record checks and verification of completion at the end of a fill, equipment preparation or glassware preparation process.
  • Submit completed executed batch records to production supervisor.
  • Troubleshooting equipment, set-up and operational issues.
  • Elevate concern, issues to manufacturing management.
  • Support completion of any process related deviations.
  • Set-up, operate, trouble shoot and preventative maintenance of solution filling lines, vial cappers, wash equipment, ovens, autoclaves and tray loading lines.
  • Perform fill weight checks, oxygen in headspace analysis and bottle torque checks on filled product containers.
  • Set up and perform sterile solution filtration processes.
  • Unloading sterilized equipment from autoclaves and depyrogenated glassware from ovens.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Participating in pre-FAT testing for new production equipment.
  • Supporting new equipment or process validation efforts.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or advanced mechanical training is a plus.
  • Prior leadership experience.
