Program Manager, Automation Solutions Team

What you will do:

The Program Manager will report to the Sr. Manager of Automation Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading a portfolio of moderately complex automation projects that have been assigned a medium to high corporate priority; providing subject matter expertise in areas including project management, project scope definition, risk identification, financial benefit savings calculation and tracking, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation; maintaining control of schedules, internal expectations, and customer expectations and satisfaction at all times; and presenting to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycles, and expected results.

How you will do it:

  • Lead, plan, direct, and monitor project portfolio activities in support of the Automaton Solutions Team collective goals.
  • Contribute to the development of the project pipeline, backlog maintenance, features, requests, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
  • Be accountable for business deliverables and implementations in partnership with developers, business and COE leads.
  • Interface with internal and external clients/customers
  • Facilitate and drive standard Agile and SCRUM meetings
  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency and increase quality.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decisions, build business cases, and gain insights.
  • Contribute to the annual goal setting process and modify throughout the year.
  • Ensure adherence to automation best practices, and corporate compliance of work performed.
  • Contribute to strategy development for the future growth and scale of the automation platform and the team.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface to effectively communicate and ensure customer satisfaction on a portfolio of Automation Projects.
  • Lead work teams in a continuous improvement environment with quality tools, behaviors and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business or equivalent field.
  • Green Belt, Black Belt Certification, PMI, PMP, Agile or other equivalent certification desired.
  • Able to effectively influence and gain adoption from senior leaders, ability to defend your position, and ability to successfully negotiate.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Team Leader/Manager/Supervisor
  • Strong knowledge of AGILE principles
  • Understanding of basic development methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Experience with DevOps, JIRA or other software development management tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Teams and Office 365 platform
  • Proven team leader capabilities and supervision experience in dealing with large projects.
  • Travel may be required in support of program.
  • Ability to work independently. Good organizational and prioritization skills with very strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving abilities, with the ability to "think outside the box" to devise operational solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Ability to clearly articulate a position with sound logic, supporting empirical evidence, and impartiality.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Team player with a "Can Do" attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects and issues with tact, professionalism, cooperation, accuracy, consistency, and persistence.
  • In-depth experience successfully harmonizing diverse and competing interests.
  • Must possess strong skills in presentations, reporting, and effective writing; risk management/decision making skills; and strong problem-solving skills.
