Located in one of the nation's most iconic and dynamic cities, the University of Denver Sturm College of Law has a long and distinguished tradition in the fields of land use law and policy. The law school features leading scholars of land use and real estate law and innovative new programs in smart growth policy.

Position Description

The Sturm College of Law seeks to hire a part-time (hourly, non-benefited) Program Manager to advance a variety of programmatic initiatives in the realm of sustainable land use practices, including database and website management, strategic communications and marketing, conference and event support, assistance with grant applications and post-grant administration, and collaboration with outside stakeholders, including donors, governmental bodies, non-profit partners, and higher educational institutions.

This is an hourly, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with and support the Executive Director in advancing a variety of programmatic initiatives, including strategic communications, conference and event support, donor relations relationships with foundations and other granting bodies, and engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Maintain Institute website and manage outreach (email, social media, advertising) to support Institute programming activities.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for Institute's programming, including managing event volunteers.

Required Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year university or college
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with issues relating to land use law and policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A JD or equivalent legal degree
  • Experience in higher education
Work Schedule

Hours are flexible and could accommodate remote work.

Hourly Rate

The hourly rate for this position is $25.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
