Job Duties:

Prepare monthly invoices, budgets and project management reports. Prepare project related journal entries for month/year end close. Provide accurate and timely accounting, reporting and project information for assigned projects. Set up and maintain projects on an in-house accounting system according to contract terms. Track and input budget data for assigned projects. Prepare, code and input project invoices. Answer project inquiries from staff, vendors or clients, and communicate financial information to project managers. Maintain project accounting files. Review project contracts and additional service requests to understand the financial requirements on each project. Analyze cost reports and meet frequently with the Business Manager and Project Managers to review status of projects for invoicing, profitability, earnings, costs, and cash flow. Ensure that projects are reasonable and recognize revenue using the POC method per IFRS standards. Work independently to research and resolve issues. May provide accounting support to other staff as needed. May educate and/or guide nonfinancial staff on accounting procedures. Will report to the Assistant Controller and assist on any ad hoc task as needed.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Project Controller, or any occupation or job title in which 5 years of relevant project accounting experience, including experience with marine offshore project accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and project operations financial support was gained.

Special Requirements:

May telecommute. Must have accounting related coursework in the Bachelor's degree curriculum.
