Jefferson Wells is currently seeking a Project/Business Analyst for one of our automotive clients in the Detroit area. This will be a 2-month contract with the possibility of extensions. This position will be remote (work from home) ... however in-person brainstorming may be requested by team with advance notice -- so local Detroit-area candidate only will be considered.

A successful Project Analyst is customer (stakeholder) focused, influences change, naturally accepts ownership for project deliverables, explore opportunities to add value to job responsibilities, with a continued focus on achieving objectives. Through engagement with cross-functional stakeholders and development teams, the Business Innovation Analyst in Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) Information Systems Innovation will:

  • Lead operational access management, audit and compliance activities for GPSC systems
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to Global Purchasing requests related to access management/security, compliance, functionality, processes or data in support of key GPSC systems and initiatives
  • Identify and implement standardized processes, training / work instructions, tools & metrics for all supported systems including evaluation and recommendation of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support process and requirements definition and deployment of business and IT requests including new functionality / tools, supplier surveys, and training
  • Respond to informal reporting, data analytics, key performance metrics and ad hoc requests in support of key business stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional innovation projects to enhance buyer / GPSC stakeholder capabilities and efficiencies
  • Determine Supplier Contact / Delegation of Authority
  • Send initial supplier communication
  • Record supplier response
  • Repeat process to verify contact provided by initial outreach, if applicable
  • Escalate with Buyer / Champion if no response
  • Provide Supplier Contact to 3PS for Distribution of Base TPISR
  • Monitor mailbox to verify agreement was sent to supplier
  • Record supplier response (agree /disagree)
  • Escalate with Buyer / Champion if no response
  • Escalate with Buyer Liaison or 3PS team if non-agreement / supplier concerns
  • Maintain Supplier Contacts, TPISR Status & Document Storage
  • Capture names, dates, etc. in a central repository
  • Provide data for dashboard (# sent, # received, who responded, etc.) for use in monthly KPIs
  • Ensure supplier's confirmation of TPISR acceptance is stored in centralized location
  • Worker must be proficient and comfortable with sorting large quantities of data in Excel
  • V-Look ups are a critical skill for this role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (degree is not mandatory)
  • Proven and demonstrated experience with reporting on sales initiatives, ROI, and client metrics
  • Strong reporting and data management experience / Proactive and positive \"can-do\" attitude
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and establish priorities
  • Able to independently prioritize daily work assignments
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with multiple deadlines
  • Proven and demonstrated experience with strong relationship building skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator
  • Strong business acumen and judgment
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
