ECS is seeking a Project Data Analyst to work in our Fairfax, VA office with required onsite customer support in Suitland, MD.

Job Description: ECS is seeking a Project Data Analyst to provide administrative, data, and project management support for several ongoing efforts supporting development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions for the Department of Defense.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Project Management team supporting daily activities.
  • Determines best practices and develops actionable insights and recommendations for the current operations or issues.
  • Works closely with the internal or external clients to identify analytical requirements.
  • May handle special analytical projects as needed.
  • May assist in implementing or developing systems to capture operational information.
  • Supports US/Coalition exercise and operational Data Management requirements.
  • Candidate must be able to interact professionally and successfully with Government operational representatives.
  • Schedule meetings, create agendas, publish minutes, and track actions.
  • Support creation and management of user accounts, and track JIRA Tickets.
  • Support weekly Program Meetings with Government Customers.
  • Maintain team documentation and organization.
  • Develop and maintain MS Project Plans and Schedule documents.
  • Work closely with vendors and customer to ensure efficient tasking.
  • Assist the Project Manager with estimating project cost.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project initiation, planning, execution and closing.
  • Provide operational support to Project Manager relating to procurement, staffing, and ongoing program initiatives.

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Secret Clearance and eligible to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in systems engineering, computer science, Information Technology, Financial Management, or Business Administration / Management preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple, high priority projects and tasks with ease.
  • Experience with operational dashboard design, development, and use.
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft Office O365 products; excellent writing/briefing skills.
  • Proficient with ticket tracking systems etc.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience with tracking and reporting project metrics.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and ability to quickly adjust to changing customer priorities.
Desired Skills:
  • Education or training in Data Management/Science/Analytics, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • DoD 8570 Security Certificate (CompTIA Security+).
  • 4+ years of acoustic analysis experience.
  • Experience with / knowledge of databases (TSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostGres, etc.)
  • Experience with / knowledge of computer coding / languages (Python, Ruby, R, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification.
  • Experience in developing and managing projects, to include project teams, prioritization of lines of effort, planning, scheduling and close out.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Kanban and/or JIRA.
  • Experience with JIRA ticketing systems.
  • Experience with government contracts and purchasing.
  • Knowledge of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) and Government Procurement.
