Are you our next Engineer - Project (II or III)?

We are currently seeking an Engineer-Project (II, or III)forourFlorida Concentrates Operations. Thepositionisresponsible for providing engineering services to efficiently manage capital projects (and other funded projects) from inception through completion by following Mosaic's CPM system to provide support for the Gypsum Stack Engineering team. This includes safety, planning, scheduling, design, material and labor procurement, construction coordination, cost control and reporting. Supervise the activities of contract engineers, designers and contractors as needed to accomplish project goals. Fully engage with applicable Mosaic personnel in all activities. The role is predominantly in the civil/geotechnical arena.

What will you do?

  • Execute projects on the gypsum stacks that are located at all Mosaic Concentrate facilities.
  • Responsible for the engineering design activities, coordination of projects and follow-up through completion. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, specifications, write capital requests, and purchase requisitions needed to execute projects. Monitor status of engineering projects for gyp stack engineering team.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of contract engineering companies, onsite construction contractors, vendors and internal resources to accomplish the project goals. Review safe work procedures and audit ongoing construction activities of contractors on site
  • Report on current spending and forecasts for approved and planned projects
  • Actively participate in Mosaic's relentless pursuit of an injury-free workplace through project safety leadership
  • Travel to required facilities to develop knowledge of operations and build relationships needed to provide guidance and support for all gyp stack assigned projects
  • Work with project controls team to develop and maintain project management procedures and engineering standards
  • Miscellaneous job related duties as assigned

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree required, major inEngineering, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental preferred.
  • 3-8 years of Project Management experience
  • Related Experience in geotechnical work
