Description:
Responsible for leading the overall planning, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of medium and large and/or complex projects typically spanning multiple operating units, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Develops, manages and monitors plans, resources and budgets. Responsible for achieving agreed upon deliverables, within budget and established timelines, and successful completion of project outcomes, targeted goals and objectives. Provides change leadership and process improvement expertise and guidance to executive sponsors and the project team. Develops communication strategies and executes said plans across the enterprise. Develops effective internal relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, management, executive leadership and several multi-functional and geographically dispersed work teams by providing direction, assistance and coordination.

Plans, manages and oversees the life cycle of medium and large, complex projects, typically spanning multiple operating units and/or RHMs.

Develops, manages and monitors project plans. Identifies and finalizes project scope and objectives, defines team member roles, activities and functional responsibilities. Identifies and documents detailed tasks and timeline. Facilitates alignment of executive sponsor and business owner across all elements of project definition.

Provides leadership, guidance and serves as a resource in deploying, implementing and adhering to project management methodology and techniques, including advanced elements of project methodology, such as change leadership, process improvement and risk management. Directs and assures follow-up of action items. Monitors project progress and provides problem resolution and troubleshooting to ensure project deliverables are met and adhere to established methodology.

Provides project status updates through the coordination and preparation of detailed statistical reports to key stakeholders, management and leadership. Compiles and analyzes data; prepares written summaries and presentations which address project scope, timetable and expected deliverables. Develops, monitors and manages project budget (i.e., analysis, reconciliation, forecasting, expenditure authorization, resource requirements, value management, tracking and reporting) as required by EPMO operations.

Plans cross organization team members' work and assigns tasks and monitors progress, generally in a matrix work environment.

Manages problem resolution and risk mitigation. Provides analytical and practical guidance to project team members and lower level project managers.

Serves as a knowledge resource providing a thorough understanding of strategic issues and tactical initiatives and ensuring processes, workforce, technology and culture factors are addressed in system, RHM, and System Office plans. Makes recommendations that provide practical options and solutions while considering the impact on processes, workforce, technology and culture.

Ensures customers are actively engaged throughout the project life cycle. Works with customers to ensure business workflows, training and communication plans are completed. Provides appropriate tools, training, guidance and necessary resources to resolve problems, avert potential risks and maintain customer engagement.

Keeps system office and RHM business sponsors, EPMO leadership and project teams apprised through routine communications, reports and status meetings to ensure project plans and deliverables are met; potential risks are identified and resolved, and customer expectations are reached.

Facilitates and participates in meetings with business owners, key stakeholders and EPMO colleagues through each phase of the project life cycle.

Analyzes business needs and requirements and provides guidance to management and key decision-makers in determining selection of appropriate support to meet business needs, strategic goals and alignment with Trinity Health standards.

Conducts post project analysis. Meets with business owners to conduct project closure activities. Prepares outstanding issues and lessons learned documentation. Closes out project related tracking systems and transitions project to operational status if needed.

Responsible for ensuring vendor and consultant agreements are consistent with the objectives, scope and budget of the project, working with Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Manages completion of vendor and consultant deliverables in alignment with signed agreements.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science or related field with three (3) to five (5) years' experience with managing progressively complex projects that span multiple operating units; or a combination of education and experience. Demonstrated expertise and skills in the application of appropriate project management methodology. Experience with advanced project management techniques, such as change leadership, process improvement and risk management preferred.

Demonstrated ability to analyze customer requirements and develop basic information systems solutions typically acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of directly related experience in a particular product line or technology solution preferred.

Considerable knowledge of and experience with change control, risk management, project planning, team management, budgeting and scheduling.

Project Management coursework or certification preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform research, apply perspective and diligence to completely understand the relevant project issues.

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve quality results. Must be capable of handling multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and possess the ability to adapt to frequent changes in priorities.

Ability to communicate with non-technical leaders and business owners providing a clear understanding of appropriate technology solutions to support and enhance business needs.

Knowledge of multiple technologies and experience with system-wide applications and systems in an integrated work environment.

Considerable knowledge of and experience in developing and managing project budgets and staffing needs for complex initiatives.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer services skills. Ability to develop/maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with leaders, stakeholders and decision makers. Ability to mentor and coach other team members.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Excellent facilitation skills and ability to influence outcomes by working with colleagues at all organizational levels.

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Strong group (both onsite and remote) process skills required. Must be comfortable operating in an ambiguous and matrix organizational structure. Ability to operate in a highly autonomous self-directed manner under frequently changing structures, requirements and priorities.

Ability to obtain and maintain strong understanding about how the organization functions and the role of the EPMO. Ability to recognize the impact of individual and team performance beyond the EPMO
