SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Project Superintendent to oversee the Wastewater/ Water Treatment plants and Laboratory for the NW Annex Bos Contract N62470-21-D-0006, Chesapeake, VA
Responsibilities

  • Confer with management, to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Coordinate and make detailed plans to accomplish goals of technical activities.
  • Create a maintenance plan on the roads and grounds equipment, and assist with schedules when needed.
  • Prepare schedules and timelines for wastewater/water departments.
  • Coordinate schedule and follow-up work required to complete projects.
  • Implement policies, standards, processes, and procedures for technical work performed in the department.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports
  • Required to be available via cell phone occasionally in order to provide the 24 hour coverage for emergencies per the contract.
  • Performs related and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
  • Experience with operating and maintaining wastewater and water plants
  • Supervisor experience
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Basic analytical and creative problem solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office and field setting. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southeast weather.. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a wastewater/water treatment facility

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
