Our client has an opportunity for an experienced proofreader position. In this role, you will rely on your grammatical eagle eye to ensure best-in-class creativity that guides customers and elevates the client’s brand.

 

Responsibilities:


Proofread text and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
Verify the factual correctness of the information, such as dates and statistics
Ensure copy aligns with the company’s brand guidelines and AP style
Offer suggestions that improve clarity and performance


 

Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, communications, or similar field
2-4 years of experience within an in-house or external ad agency, publishing firm, or digital news outlet
Expert knowledge of AP style and ability to adapt to our in-house style
Working knowledge of best practices for email, social media, short-form content, and direct marketing; the desire to learn long-form copyediting a plus
Experience proofreading for financial clients is a plus; retail or lifestyle brands are also relevant
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Knowledge of financial/banking language helpful
Excellent judgment, organizational and decision-making skills
An online portfolio of your work is helpful but not required
Ability to work well with others and check your ego at the door
Flexible work from home options with working on-site three days per week or all remote for the right candidate
A proofreading certificate is a plus
