Position Summary

Be part of a team of professionals to learn and use Quality and Continuous Improvement tools to execute data driven and cross-functional activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of an AS-9100 ISO quality assurance program.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee or Refugee.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Independently and under the direction of other QE's; promptly and effectively communicate with external and internal customers on matters concerning the quality of product or processes.
  • Supports the development and administration of the Quality Assurance Program and regulatory issues.
  • On assigned projects drives resolution of quality issues ensuring stability and reliability of future products and processes.
  • Facilitate and leads root-cause analysis with other departments to recommend necessary corrective action to eliminate current problems and prevent future problems.
  • Establishes methods to evaluate products, process and services in order to improve performance, quality and cost.
  • Supports internal and external quality audits/surveys to assure compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
  • Performs data collection and analysis of product testing activities to achieve department goals in areas such as materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications to operation sequences resulting in reduction of scrap and cost savings.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related technical focus; and/or 1-3 years in quality assurance with an emphasis in quality engineering, root cause analysis, defect prevention, mechanical inspection and international quality standards, AS9100, ISO9001, etc; or 5+ years in Quality in substitution of education requirement.
  • Must have working knowledge and some experience in Quality Systems, Quality Auditing, Product and Process Design, Product and Process Control, Continuous Improvement and Quantitative methods and tools.
  • Six Sigma Black/Green belt certification or other quality related certifications a plus.
