Description

SAIC is seeking a QA/Test Lead to design, develop, and maintain formal QA processes and Test framework/methodology to detect and mitigate defects and ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases.  He/She will be responsible for developing test plans, test procedures, verifying and validating the results of tests conducted by development teams, and writing scripts and code to automate and record the results of tests of integration and interoperability between services.  Test lead will also identify opportunities to continuously implement improvements.

Job Duties Include:

• Assist the Sponsor in the evaluation of software and associated documentation
• Evaluate or diagnose problems; recommend possible solutions
• Conduct historical analyses of test results
• Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
• Coordinate user or third party testing
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, Regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
• Design or develop automated testing tools
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
• Develop and define characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters; determine requisite quality control resources
• Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify program deviance from standards; suggest modifications to ensure compliance
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations
• Participate in formal and informal reviews to determine quality
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Update automated test scripts to ensure currency

Qualifications

• Must have an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 5+ years of professional experience QA/Testing/Software Development or related role.
• 10+ years of total professional experience in a technical setting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years and 5+ year of experience
• Proficiency with open source automation tools (Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, Gherkin)
• Proficiency with Java programming language
• Experience with scripting in one or more languages (UNIX based scripting, Python)
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
• Experience with build tools
• Experience with SCM solutions such as (GitLab, Artifactory)
• Experience using SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework
• Experience with DevOps principles and practices
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite
