The Quality Engineer is responsible for driving exceptional product quality for patient safety, customer value beyond expectations, regulatory assurance, and optimized Cost of Quality. Support Operations and Engineering by identifying process improvement opportunities within the facility, products and supply chain. Develop corrective action plans to correct any process failures and drive improvement in quality and productivity.

Position Responsibilities

  • Due to customer requirements and the CMS mandate, Securitas Electronic Security - Healthcare is required to make any offer of employment contingent on the new hire providing proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (currently one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine). Individuals with medical issues or religious beliefs or practices that prevent them from getting the vaccine may request an accommodation or exemption from the vaccine requirement.
  • Communicates with manufacturing, purchasing and other departments for resolution of issues. Communicates with / supervises inspection personnel. Champions corrective action teams, utilizing Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) and Product knowledge obtained through Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and/or Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR).
  • Represents Stanley with the customer. Reviews & develops documentation (Process flow, Control Plan, inspection paperwork, etc). Optimizes process controls including SPC, utilizing Minitab or similar tools.
  • Proactively reduces risk through rigorous FMEA. Conducts Layered Process and other internal audits. Participates in Sub-Supplier development. Supports customer audits/visits and third-party audits. Deploys lean/continuous improvement manufacturing principles and methods.
  • Maintains the Quality Management Systems (ISO13485 / ISO9001), and/or IPC610.
  • Reviews and disposes of non-conforming material.
  • Supports PPAP, APQP.
  • Designs & evaluates gauge and fixtures, (MSA) Measurement System Analysis.
  • 10% Domestic Travel maximum, potential international.


Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 1+ years' experience in manufacturing, operations, design, quality assurance or regulatory assurance.


Preferred Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Professional affiliation with ASQ (American Society for Quality). ASQ CQE, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Lead Auditor, etc.
  • Additional experience in MPM/QMS standards such as ISO14001, IPC610, TS16949, etc.
  • Medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing part certification processes and vendor quality measures. Strong knowledge of fabrication-based quality control methods, tools and techniques.
  • Effective problem solving, root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change.
  • Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing methods, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Shainin, RedX or other Continuous Improvement tools, with a willingness to learn more.
  • Problem Solving Skills; PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), 5Why, 8D, DMAIC (Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control).
