Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Lead Quality Engineer--HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Location: 100% REMOTE

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?Partner with Business, Technical and Strategic Product to meet project commitments in an agile framework; rapidly delivering high quality value to our customers via technology solutions.

• Design, develop and implement automated tests and testing frameworks

• Manage test data and utilize test data management technology.

• Ensure that all parts of the application eco system are thoroughly and effectively covered with telemetry

• Deliver solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational guardrails

• Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code

• Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object repository methods, etc.)

• Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience

• Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies

• Research and implement tools that support delivery

• Assist with DevOps support

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding experience with one or more of the follow languages Java, scala, Python or JavaScript with a willingness and ability to learn new ones

• Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, server less architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture

• Experience with polyglot storage architectures including relational, columnar, key-value, graph or the like

• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile and DevOps

2+ Years of CI/CD Experience

• 1+ years of Streaming Technology Experience( Kafka or others )

Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally-distributed audiences
