The Ramp Manager will lead a complex operation focused on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity. This position will be charged with developing and driving ramp strategies and solutions through people, systems and process to continuously ensure excellence in safety, profitability and service.
Essential job duties and responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Lead Ramp to ensure KPIs are met
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies including FAA, OSHA, EPA, US Dept. of Labor and EEOC
  • Develop and drive existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Ramp
  • Act as key point of contact between TAS and our customers
  • Enforce and upholds all TAS rules, regulations, and policies
  • Approach violations with care and administer disciplinary actions when required
  • Investigate all service failures including chargeable delays, baggage/cargo/mail mishandling
  • Approve weekly time & attendance and ensure data is accurate and timely
  • Own the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing success
  • Provide Ramp Metrics & Reports as needed
  • Perform routine visits to the various authorities to discuss issues and concerns. Attend all local airport tenant, security and safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)
QUALIFICATIONS
An individual must be able to perform each Essential Duty satisfactorily to perform this job successfully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.


Education and Experience:


  • Minimum age of eighteen (18)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior (5+ years) intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing experience
  • 3+ years leadership experience


Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Must have a driver’s license


Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills are mandatory
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Open availability
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions

The employee must be able to operate a company computer/laptop and cell phone. They will also be required to spend time reviewing both physical and electronic documents.
This position works outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
