Overview
Cimpl's Meats, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a Refrigeration Technician at our Yankton, SD plant

As a Refrigeration Technician you will:

• Perform daily recording of refrigeration equipment, utilities, room temperatures, chilled water softness, and waste water pH.
• Use required tools and/or equipment to perform skilled level work on ammonia industrial refrigeration system, which includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of all system components.
• Perform visual checks of freezer and cooler evaporators and recording issues to be addressed (fans, ice build-up, condensates drains).
• Adjust the compressor pressure and temperature as needed.
• Monitor ammonia levels of all accumulators and high-pressure vessels.
• Correct use of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Keep the maintenance shop and all work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Operator 1 license.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Food defense

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
