About CCMS

The Connected Consumer Customer and Mobility Solutions (CCMS)

organization develops, in an Agile/SAFe environment, the technologies enabling a new generation of connected vehicles worldwide. This includes call centers located in multiple countries backed by two world class data centers. Our technology is a key enabler to things like smarter car sharing programs, driver customization opportunities, and advanced active safety systems including autonomous driving. These capabilities exist through the largest implementation of 4G LTE in the automotive industry which enables the capture of massive amount of vehicle data to our Big Data platform. Our innovation teams are driving game changing technology to the consumer and the automotive industry.

What you do

This role requires passionate individual with a delivery approach. As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will be supporting and coaching an Agile Release Train (ART) by routing it to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software products in large, cross-functional environments.

This role is required to help resolve and escalate impediments, manage risk, helps assure value delivery, and drives program level continuous improvement. The RTE is accountable for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of value through the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate coordinated preparation and execution of release planning for the ART to prioritize the features to be considered in the next program increment (PI) planning cycle to meet the Feature Definition of Ready.
  • Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
  • Collaborating with ART's, Scrum Team, EIC's and partners to anticipate and lead Technical Business requirement changes.
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Lead program level coordination (creating timelines, milestones) and cadence of increments, releases, oversee the development of reports and document program activity.
  • Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Constantly refine and act as an electrifying force for sharing Agile and SAFe knowledge across the organization.
  • Support the configuration of SAFe to the needs of the organization, standardizing and documenting practices.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and resolving problems.
  • Maintain the ADO ART status accurately and delegate the release defects to scrum and test teams.

Additional Job Description

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree preferably in computer science, software engineering, information systems, mathematics, data analytics or statistics or equivalent experience
  • 5+years of IT-Experience and strong knowledge of software development in an Agile environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent - REQUIRED.
  • Skills: Software Development Process, Data Base, Programming, Architectural, Test and Data Management, Deployment Management, ADO, Various IT Tools
