Provide reliability coordination, technical oversight and general requirement definition for all Data Center Solution's products, emphasis on Thermal and Power products and subassemblies.

  • Involved in NPDP (New Product Development Process) through an active Design For Reliability (DFR) program including but not limited to: Reliability Program Planning, Reliability Predictions, establishing design margins, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Availability and System Modeling, HALT, DVT (Design Verification Testing), Product Return Rate Analysis, Internal Process Sharing and Benchmarking.
  • Work with design engineering developing methods to evaluate product and/or component reliability (predict product performance and identify key factors or elements that limit reliability).
  • Determine the data driven top customer field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported monthly. Assure corrective actions are effective and closed thoroughly
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through the DMAIC process.
  • Origination and implementation of reliability design standards and procedures to assure inherent reliability of products within specification and schedule.
  • Introduce and support continued use of technical quality tools; such as SPC, DOE, Pre-control and FMEA throughout the product life cycle (design, manufacture and service).
  • Quantify field reliability levels for systems and components and compare to targets.
  • Publish reliability performance reports (internal and external) throughout product life cycle (design, manufacture and service).
  • Create and maintain a FRACAS (Failure Reporting And Corrective Action) and Root Cause Failure Analysis program.
  • Provide technical assistance in analysis of system or component reliability issues. Assess the level of implementation and effectiveness of reliability tools and methods throughout the global engineering groups
  • 4 Year Engineering Degree, technical preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • 10% travel requirement
