Alliant Energy has an outstanding opportunity for a Renewable Developer to join the team. This position is responsible for a variety of development and origination work in siting, land leasing and acquisition, interconnection coordination, stakeholder and public outreach for renewable projects, battery energy storage systems, and related generation program planning. Renewables Developer responsibilities will be part of a collaboration with a cross functional renewable program team focused on the development of large- and small-scale utility renewable projects. The position will be focused on relationship management with our landowner, community and renewable project partners.

This Hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from home, and in an office located in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, or Des Moines, Iowa on average 2 days per week. The successful candidate must reside in Iowa.

Travel throughout Iowa is estimated to be around 30%.

Job Qualifications
We are looking for:

• Bachelor\u0027s Degree with an emphasis in sustainable systems, renewable development, real estate, or related area is preferred.
• 3 years of related experience.Renewable developer experience preferred, along with ability to deal with subcontractors and cross-functional teams; recognized as having expertise in a particular area of the discipline.

Other Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to travel.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels within the organization and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
• Demonstrated ability and confidence to present alternatives and constructively influence the decision making of others.
