Job Description Summary
The Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of local research output and thought leadership. Specifically, this position provides support for gathering and analyzing local market data and interpreting this information to identify trends in the market. Output of the analysis is used to produce research deliverables to be included in pitch and/or proposal materials and reflects various market dynamics. The Analyst is also accountable for accurate and proactive maintenance of proprietary and third-party databases with local market data, as well as pulling data from said systems to support thought leadership and forecast development. This position is not specific to a service line but may specialize by property type.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manages research database(s)
  • Proactively and routinely updates and maintains property databases
  • Compiles quarterly statistics and run database audits
  • Participates in development of local requests for research information including market stats and analysis for prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materials
  • Trains and orients core business units and administrative assistants on research products, databases and services
  • Analyzes data, compiles and writes (or assists in writing) quarterly reports
  • Assists in forecasting and economic outlook information for clients


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years' experience in real estate industry or business
  • Professional acumen, demonstrated interest in commercial real estate
  • Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting
  • Verbal communication/ articulate/ polished: strong oral and written communication skills
  • Connection/relationship building
  • Adaptability/change/fast pace: ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage processes in a fast-changing environment
  • Team player/collaboration
  • Accountability/ownership
  • Resourcefulness/initiative: ability to successfully resolve problems with minimal direction
