They will be required to think independently, resolve issues that arise and initiate new processes to perform duties more efficiently. Duties include cell culture and generation of CAR-Tcells; experimental design and analysis; RNA and/or DNA isolation; genotyping of mouse DNA using PCR, and gel electrophoresis; preparation of tissues and cell culture samples for protein and metabolite quantification.Job Description

This position is contingent upon favorable funding.

Opportunity to join a fast-moving, vibrant, and collegial laboratory studying cardiovascular disease. Employee will assist the laboratory PI and senior level researchers to perform laboratory tasks and projects, as assigned. Tasks will include tissue culture (including generation of CART cells), multiple techniques of molecular biology, and mouse husbandry. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-driven, and interested to expand his/her knowledge base. Trustworthiness is imperative. Opportunities will be given to present research results in laboratory meetings, and to develop independence as applicable. Position is available ASAP.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Required, with 0-1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and basic knowledge in molecular biology .

Typically sitting at a desk or table; Occasional lifting 25 lb.
