Description:
Judge Group is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to gastrointestinal patients and their families as well as assisting the physician with GI procedures by utilizing the nursing process.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Monitors and assesses the physical/psychological status of the patient through personal observation and interaction during pre-op, intra-op and post-procedure.
• Acts as patient advocate in the coordination of patient care.
• Oversees Medical assistants assigned to the admitting and recovery areas.
• The ASC will have a minimum of two (2) RN's assigned daily to oversee patient care.
• Utilize supplies, equipment and resources to contain costs without compromising delivery of patient care.
• Reduces chances of nosocomial infection by directing attention to infection control and environmental safety practices in the facility.
• Attends meetings of the facility and is an active participant in Safety, ASC, and Infection Control, Quality Assurance, and credentialing committees.
• Assists Nurse Manager with data collection for benchmarking activities and Quality Assurance Studies.
• Maintains confidentiality, privacy and security of all patients and facilities' communications and documents.
• Assist Nurse Manager with mandatory activities and projects needed to maintain state licensure and accreditation.
• Assumes responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in her absence as delegated.
• Maintains open and positive communication with nursing personnel and members of the health care team.
• Participates in risk management activities.
• Assists Nurse Manager with conducting mandatory OSHA training program and any training programs associated with the accreditation process.
• Accepts direction from Nurse Manager and physicians and adheres to established routines in the facility.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current PA State licensure as an RN.
• Current certification in basic CPR and ACLS.
• GI Endoscopy experience preferred.
