Job Summary

Work Schedule: M-F 6A-7A start (5) 8 hour shifts; on call and holiday rotation

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
  • Order and Maintain open heart instruments and supplies
  • Precept/Mentor other team members
  • Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR - Certification in specialty by recognized accrediting agency OR ? enrolled in RN to BSN or RN to MSN program with minimum 6 credits completed within previous 12 months
Experience
  • 2-3 years open heart team experience required, including scrubbing and circulating
Certification and Licensure
  • PA Registered Nurse License
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • RNFA, preferred
Required Skills
  • Excellent Communications Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
