We have a brand new opening for a full time Outpatient clinic RN for our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. The Section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is a part of the Virginia Mason's Neuroscience Institute, and is dedicated to assisting patients with acute and chronic pain management, physical, psychological, cognitive or communication problems. This position is located in downtown Seattle. This is a Monday-Friday position, no weekends and no holidays!!

The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse includes:
  • Providing skilled triage and pain management assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources,
  • Supporting the provider with procedures such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
  • Supporting chronic pain patients with education and cognitive behavioral health therapy follow ups.
  • Providing patient advice & education related to pain management
  • Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic
  • Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant's clinical competency.

Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State licensure as an RN
  • CPR certification is required every two years
  • Bachelors of Science of Nursing
  • Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.

Ideal candidates will have experience performing blood draws and have an interest in developing leadership skills. The ideal candidate will also be interested in facilitating the capture of patient reported outcomes for future research purposes. Candidates with experience and interest in counseling and education related chronic opiod use encouraged to apply.
