Job Description

GPI is seeking a Roadway Engineer for our Miami, FL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Roadway Engineer services for South Florida clients including FDOT District 4, FDOT District 6, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, Miami-Dade County, and others
  • Project design plans production and design calculations
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on projects
  • Field reviews, site visits, and project research
  • Marketing clients and developing new client relations
  • Preparing and assisting with the preparation of LOI's, ELOI's, and Proposals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Profession Engineer (PE)
  • 7+ years of relevant FDOT experience
  • Knowledge of FDOT policies, procedures, and standards is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microstation, OpenRoads, and similar FDOT design software programs

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
