Basic Job Functions:
The basic functions of the Safety Clerk are as follows:
• Provide administrative support for the safety department such as: purchase requisitions, supply management, scheduling training, coordinating new hire orientation, etc.
• Prepare and effectively maintain the various weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports
• Record retention and database management
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
