We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. The position will manage the plant safety programs and plant compliance requirements as established by CCM's Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety. This individual will work closely with plant management and local safety committees for manufacturing and distribution in Franklin Park, IL, as well as interfacing heavily with the CCM Manager of EHS.

Pay Range: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities:

* Serve as primary advisor for safety and site compliance.
* Understands manufacturing process at the plant.
* Regular strategic communication with plant management and CCM Mangers of EHS.
* Ensure facility compliance with all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to environmental, health, and safety.
* Conduct comprehensive policy and compliance audits and maintain all OSHA and PSM/RMP record keeping requirements.
* Lead safety committee meetings and COS meetings/projects.
* Prepare, implement and execute safety and PSM/RMP training, such as (but not limited to) LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Combustible Dust, Machine Guarding, etc. (as the designated Certified Trainer).
* Maintain company compliance with all appropriate OSHA and state safety regulations and maintain appropriate reporting and accountability systems.
* Investigate all safety incident reports, lead serious lost time and recordable investigations and drive the development of necessary corrective action, including supporting actions to mitigate or minimize injuries.
* Track OSHA recordable incidents, rates and trends and regularly report safety performance measures to management.
* Strategic planning to insure potential environmental and safety consequences of the manufacturing process are considered.
* Conducting safety audits / Safety Gemba's / risk assessments / safety concision walks / walks to identify opportunities for improvement and to ensure sustainment and completion of previously identified items and maintain "safety action item list".
* Identifying, scoping, and participating in / facilitating process improvement events related to safety.
* Support the development, updates and training for lock out tag out, standard operating procedures and JHA's and all new hire training.
* Ensure proper handling of all waste streams in compliance with environmental regulations.
* Identifying, scoping and participating in/facilitating process improvement events.
* Work with site plant managers and management teams to identify and lead Kaizen events.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Ability to build relationships and influence others
* Education: Bachelor's Degree (Safety Management preferred)
* Experience: 3 to 5 years (minimum) of related experience in a manufacturing environment
