The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As the Senior Safety and Security Advisor, you will be the driving force behind our commitment to safety and well-being. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Safety Leadership: Develop and implement robust safety strategies, policies, and procedures that reflect our commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment.
  • Emergency Response Excellence: Lead the development and execution of emergency response plans, working collaboratively with local authorities and community partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
  • Team Empowerment: Manage and inspire our dedicated security team, providing guidance, training, and support to uphold the highest standards of vigilance and professionalism.
  • Proactive Risk Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and vulnerabilities, and spearhead proactive measures to mitigate risks to campus safety.
  • Holistic Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with various departments to integrate safety measures into every facet of campus life. Conduct regular training sessions for staff and students, empowering them with the knowledge to navigate safely in any situation.
  • Investigative Excellence: Lead investigations into safety and security incidents, offering timely and comprehensive reports to senior management and recommending actionable solutions.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
