We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Celgard where we develop and manufacture membrane battery separators that are critical components used in lithium-ion batteries for electric drive vehicles (EDVs) and energy storage systems (ESS).

Job Description:

General Duties of the Job:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global S&OP and Customer Service, you will be responsible for providing analytical and administrative support for Celgard's Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales organizations. You will interact regularly with the leadership of these organizations to help drive business decisions and improvements to business processes. Your primary focus will be assisting in the planning of Celgard's global operations while enabling Sales through activities such as CRM and quote generation. As a champion of our CRM system, you will need to quickly understand both our commercial and IT systems and processes and be able to work towards improving and streamlining our processes by working with key stakeholders. These activities will make you a key enabler and will help maximize CRM utilization and value on a global basis.

Specifically, you will:

  • Work with Sales and Marketing to facilitate customer requests, e.g. quotations
  • Work closely with management and business groups to understand CRM related business reporting requirements and develop dashboards and reports
  • Participate in designing, testing, documenting, and onboarding for CRM and other sales and administrative systems
  • Focus on identifying data completeness and data integrity issues within CRM & ERP
  • Make data/process improvement recommendations.
  • Analyze and synthesize data to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Look for opportunities to further automate and enhance our data models
  • Perform daily administration and support of the CRM database
  • Create and maintain reporting metrics on business effectiveness and impact of Sales and Marketing activities and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
  • Establish and maintain scalable CRM processes that ensure global best practices.
  • Maintain documentation on processes, policies, and application configuration.
  • Interact with IT counterparts to maintain system functionality and provide user technical support
  • Perform sales reconciliations, and help with audits and miscellaneous corporate requests.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years previous experience supporting an outside sales team preferred
  • Experience as a CRM analyst in a manufacturing environment preferred, but will also consider candidates that have the aptitude to pick up systems and best practices quickly
  • Familiarity with technical products or polymers preferred
  • High degree of professionalism and a thorough understanding of confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills (including advanced Microsoft Excel skills) and experience with reporting and data analysis required
  • Understanding of relational databases and data integration required, with knowledge and skills in frontend and backend languages, e.g. VBA and SQL, a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills - both verbally and written
  • Excellent problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • English language required, bilingual skills in either Chinese (Mandarin) or Japanese are preferred but not required.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively with contacts in other countries/business cultures; international experience is preferred

Able to travel, including internationally, as needed. A large number of the users you will support are in Asia. You will travel to develop relationships, train users and more. Due to our global footprint, you will need to be flexible about meeting our colleagues either in the early morning or in the evening by phone.
