Job Description

The Sales Development Representative’s (SDR) key responsibility is to promote and market AEM products and services into desired accounts through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails, and communications to prospective clients.

A successful candidate is a fearless, self-starting team player who relentlessly uses their prospecting knowledge and acumen to introduce new clients to AEM’s offering. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct virtual and telephonic meetings in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.

This position is a shared resource working across the entire AEM portfolio and all sales teams in North America to develop our highest priority markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business by developing and executing targeted sales campaigns
  • Build & manage a pipeline and funnel of business using SalesForce.com CRM.
  • Meet or exceed assigned quota of 50+ calls per day.
  • Timely & accurate maintenance of all lead, contacts, opportunities, & quotations in Salesforce.
  • Help map, navigate and understand prospects’ informal and formal decision criteria, budget process and decision makers.
  • Develop a high level of knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of CRM systems, specifically SalesForce
  • Aptitude for learning business knowledge of industry, products, software, services, and markets
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to solve problems, negotiate positively, and persuade others
  • Aptitude for learning about new markets, customers and technology
  • Strong bias for action and self-motivation; results driven with meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly energetic and motivated to sell
  • Creative and independent, but also thrive in a strong team-based culture
Credentials and Experience:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of sales, marketing, or relevant technical experience (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license plus good driving record
Additional Information:
  • This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States
  • You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Important COVID-19 Guidance: In September 2021, the US government issued new federal vaccine regulations that certain government contractors must adhere to. This position will be hired by Earth Networks which is apart of the AEM family of companies. Earth Networks is a covered federal contractor and therefore our US-based employees are required to be vaccinated, and show proof of vaccination, by January 4, 2022.
