HORIBA Semiconductor's proprietary analysis technology is fully demonstrated in a wide range of fields - semiconductors, medicine, environment, science and engine measurements. In high-tech industries like semiconductor manufacturing, HORIBA provides an extensive selection of process monitors for integration into manufacturing lines that aid the safe production of high performance devices.

Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an experienced Sales Engineer in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Examines and analyzes customers' needs; reviews requirements, recommends appropriate solutions and provides proposals for products and services based upon a thorough understanding of system level requirements.
  • Performs field promotional work to sell and develop new business. Builds relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
  • Demonstrates products/services and provides assistance in the best application of the product.
  • Coordinates company technical services with Product Category leaders, applications and service support resources
  • Coordinates delivery and expedite requirements in collaboration with Inside Sales Department.
  • Prepares price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates in compliance with company guidelines and subject to company approval.
  • Informs company about trends, competitive products and pricing; submits projections/forecasts/lost order reports to management.
  • Uses Customer Relationship Management tool to track and report activities
  • Participates in / contributes to Strategic / Global account teams where required
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Technical knowledge in a sales environment, including experience working in the Semiconductor industry with end users responsible for etch, diffusion and epi processes.
  • Working knowledge of sales, marketing, distribution and product line management as may be typically acquired through a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills.
  • Incumbent typically has a minimum of eight years of similar sales experience and four years' industry experience.
