Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Impact, Learning & Compliance, the Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of Voyager, Lifemoves' Salesforce-based client information management system. As the primary system administrator, this position is responsible for the performance and security of Voyager; driving system enhancements by executing configuration updates, coordinating internal development projects, and managing platform releases. The Senior Salesforce Administrator contributes to the success of the organization and the clients it serves by managing data integrations with external HMIS systems in the counties we serve, designing and developing custom data and automation solutions tailored to the needs of individual programs, and safeguarding the integrity and security of the system. This position also supervises the Salesforce Analyst to support end users with issue and error resolution, create flexible and dynamic system access and permission structures, and identify opportunities to create efficiencies and streamline day-to-day usage of the platform. In collaboration with the Manager of Learning and Analytics, this position supports data-informed decision-making throughout the organization by shaping data collection practices and building infrastructure that supports measurement, analysis, and insight.

Primary Responsibilities

System Governance and Lifecycle Management

  • Work with organization stakeholders in our Programs and Services, Development, and Finance/IT departments to guide the product roadmap for LifeMoves' client management Salesforce org.
  • Stay informed about the Salesforce roadmap to identify platform updates that may impact Lifemoves' implementation and effectively balance maintenance priorities with enhancement priorities.
  • Apply best practices for Salesforce change management to develop, test, and release system updates.
System Administration
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve the security of the system through regular evaluation of settings and architecture to ensure appropriate information access across all levels and teams, while mitigating the risk of system or data breaches.
  • Manage updates to the platform and related technologies and ensure that the impacts of new releases are assessed and addressed.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and resolve errors in custom automations built with Flow and Apex.
Data Management
  • Establish and champion data governance and data integrity strategies.
  • Facilitate bulk data imports, updates, and deletions.
  • Monitor system storage usage and adjust data retention policies to maintain system compliance with Salesforce limits.
  • Ensure data and metadata recovery capability by maintaining backup and restore processes.
System Integration and Vendor Management
  • Manage relationships with vendors of integrated products: Jitterbit, Mogli SMS, OwnBackup, FormAssembly.
  • Ensure smooth data exchange among Salesforce and related applications.
System Enhancements
  • Identify opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency through new tools and methodologies.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to scope and execute enhancement projects.
  • Drive system development projects directly or by engaging with external development resources.
Process Design, Documentation, and Communication
  • Effectively communicate system priorities and changes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization by providing regular progress updates and maintaining change logs.
  • Develop, document, and communicate critical system administration processes.
  • Ensure that downstream collaborators, such as the Salesforce Analyst and reporting analysts have access to the system details and documentation needed to do their jobs effectively.
Position Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator required. Salesforce Advanced Administrator preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience with managing data transformation and exchange via integration platforms like Jitterbit, Mulesoft, Boomi, etc. Jitterbit experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model including org-wide defaults, role hierarchy, public groups, sharing rules, roles, profiles, and permission sets.
  • Strong understanding of current Salesforce automation features and experience with creating and maintaining complex declarative automation using Salesforce Flow. Some experience with Apex is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model and relational database concepts. Comfortable with designing custom data structures based on business requirements.
  • Strong understanding of information system and data security concepts, and how these concepts are implemented on the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience with Salesforce deployment processes, environment management, and release best-practices.
  • Comfortable with exporting, analyzing, cleansing, transforming, and importing data using common office data management applications like MS Excel and Salesforce-specific applications like Data Loader or Workbench.
  • Experience with installing and upgrading Salesforce packages from the Salesforce AppExchange and other sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
