Overview

The Merchandise Scheduling Supervisor, will create a schedule for about 200 employees weekly for the merchandise department. They will assist with office administration, counseling documentation, and employee onboarding and training. This position requires a high level of independence.

 

The hourly pay rate for this position is $12.75 an hour, plus the fun benefits of free park entry for yourself, the opportunity to earn admission tickets for your friends and family, as well as awesome employee appreciation events!

Qualifications

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • One year of theme park experience preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

  • Professional and effective communication skills.

  • Previous scheduling experience required.

  • Available to work 35-40 hours a week during summer season.

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the schedule of all front line employees on a weekly basis. Review and approve/deny schedule requests. Continuously update and correct completed schedules as staffing levels demand.
  • Assist with interviews, processing appointments, job fairs, and recruitment events.
  • Determine proper location assignment for associates based on interviews.
  • Identify potential candidates for advancement into supervisory positions based on interviews.
  • Organize and track associates’ availability with documents and scheduling software.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of attendance infractions and counseling documentation.
  • Lead and facilitate department training sessions weekly by presenting training material to groups as large as 30 associates.
  • Understand state labor laws and ensure that the schedule will not cause violations.
  • Assist with tracking newly hired associates and terminations to determine accurate staffing levels throughout the year.
