Speech Language Pathologist- SLP, Pediatric School Based Therapy

• School Speech Language Pathologist position available to begin ASAP!
• Portland area of Oregon
• CFY Candidates are not being considered at this time
• To provide speech and language services to students in a variety of educational settings, as well as to provide assessment and training for students with complex feeding needs.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech and Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech and Hearing Association Required
• Provide speech and language therapy to students in a self-contained school with multiple grade levels and students with complex communication needs and multiple eligibilities in special education including: autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and other health impairment.
• Must hold an unrestricted SLP license issued by the state of Oregon Board of Examiners for SLP & Audiology
• Supervision and planning oversight for a speech language pathologist assistant (SLPA) for maintenance of their licensure.
• Experience in servicing students with social emotional learning needs is essential
• Duties include assessments, evaluations, consultation, and directly servicing students' speech-language needs
• Full Time / 7.5 Hours daily/ 37.5 hours weekly

The primary purpose of the School Speech Language Pathology position is diagnostic assessment and therapeutic treatment of pediatric students in a school setting. • Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students' speech and language deficits
• Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations in the area of speech and language to determine students' need for services or need of dismissal from services
• Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for speech therapy services
• Provide speech therapy sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
• Maintain all documentation required by the district and ASHA's code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP's

• Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Must hold a current license to practice in the state of Oregon or be eligible for licensure through completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year
• Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
