Our client is seeking a Scrum Master in Orlando, FL.

Role Description

• Facilitates and supports all scrum events and ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

• Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our business partners.

• Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.

• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.

• Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.

• Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

• Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.

• Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

• Challenges teams to understand the end-to-end significance of the work and the implications of the work across the program space.

• Comfortable creating and providing frequent and periodic reporting on performance of teams in a neutral and unbiased manner.

• Active partner that works with the team to troubleshoot process issues and provide alternatives when the team needs recommendations.

Skills & Requirements

• BA or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience serving as SME w/ facilitating and supporting all Scrum events and ceremonies (inclusive of Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective)

• Must possess extensive experience guiding and coaching Scrum Team(s) on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services

• Must possess very strong experience and proficiency w/ SDLC

• Must possess expertise in the following Scrum techniques:

o Refinement

o Story Splitting

o Estimation

o Velocity

o Retrospection

• CSM Certification and / or other advanced Agile Practitioner certifications

• Agile tools, including but not limited to Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet etc.

• Prior experience utilizing Kanban as an Agile framework highly preferred.

• CSM Certification and hands on experience acting as a Scrum Master (not a PM with Scrum experience)
