Who You Are:

The Sector HR Business Partner is a senior consultant within our HR organization. Partnering with senior business leaders, the Sector HR BP will gain a clear understanding of the respective business strategies and operating plan, and develop accompanying People Plans to drive business results. As a key member of the Business and Applied HR Leadership Teams, the Sector HR BP will work on all strategic people and organizational priorities related to organizational design, talent planning, leadership and employee development, rewards and recruiting, acquisitions/divestments, diversity & inclusion, culture, change management, employee engagement and strategic workforce planning. Moreover, this position provides leadership in a matrix and collaboration with Market and Innovation HR colleagues to address and fulfill business requirements.

In alignment with the Applied business leader(s), the Sector HR BP will:

  • Act as a strategic people consultant, build trust and provide insights that influence and inspire senior management'sbehavior, mindset and people decisions with an impact on sustainable business growth
  • Shape Business & People Strategies for parts of the Applied Solutions business, i.e. translate business strategy intoPeople Plans that support growth, performanceor business transformation
  • Partner and challenge the business to anticipate requirements, and communicate People decision trade-offs that drive critical business priorities
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, identify current and future capability and capacity requirements, assess gaps, and develop strategies and action plans to close gaps
  • Work with leaders to assess, initiate and implement optimal organizational structures to accomplish business objectives and leverage talent
  • Support change management and cultural transformation initiatives to enable business
  • Use multiple datasourcesand people analyticsto create criticalpeopleinsights toidentifyandpro-activelymonitorbusiness performance and opportunities/risks
  • Ensure robust pipeline talent development and succession planning for business-critical positions, with focus on diversity and inclusion
  • Lead people and organizational aspects in merger, acquisition, and divestment scenarios
  • Work with business leaders to drive engagement and a culture of accountability and collaboration within and across organizations
  • Actively contribute to Applied and Life Science HR initiatives to ensure the optimal outcomes are achieved across the full Applied Solutions and Life Science organization.
  • Support Applied Solutions (L2) Global Organizations - Diagnostics Solutions; Applied Marketing, Strategy & Execution; ACE

This position is based in the US, preferably in Burlington, MA or St. Louis, MO.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required; MBA, MA in related field preferred
  • Combined 10+ years' experience in HR and/or related business function, including 5+ years as HR Business Partner preferred
  • Strong business acumen required; direct business experience a plus
  • Previous responsibility for a global scope and/or international experience required
  • Proficiency of the English Language is required

  • Strong evidence of both a strategic and "hands on" leadership orientation
  • Proficiency of the English Language is required
  • The position will require some travel (~10-15%)
