SUMMARY:

• The Security Chief manages the oversight and supervision of both full-time and part-time security officers engaged in around-the-clock security operations.
• The incumbent will play a pivotal role in formulating, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive security policies and procedures for the company.
• They will ensure the proper execution and documentation of initial and annual training programs for security personnel.
• The position demands the establishment and upkeep of a 24-hour security manning schedule, collaboration on security measures with other departmental managers, and active involvement in internal investigations.
• The successful candidate will engage with local and state law enforcement agencies and emergency services as necessary.
• In the absence of a sufficient security force, the individual may be required to fulfill day-to-day security duties.
• They will assume responsibility for the management and supervision of all security administrative functions.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Successful candidates must successfully pass a thorough background check.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Prefer experience with word processing software such as Microsoft Word and spreadsheet applications such as Excel. Knowing Tyson's computer programs would be helpful.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations. Must be able to write, read and understand Tyson's policies and procedures.
• Environment: Must be able and willing to work in both hot and cold temperatures.
• Supervisory: Previous supervisory experience preferred. Will be responsible to supervise other Team Members that perform related activities.
