The Role in Brief:

Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Company's general ledger. Additionally, this person will be tasked with special projects and will work closely with colleagues in the following areas: Tax, Payroll, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Reporting, Event Planning, and Revenue Recognition.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Manage unclaimed property reporting
  • Conduct flux analysis of P&L accounts for current period to prior period activity
  • Oversee cash management procedures and the company's credit card and travel reporting system
  • Forecast, monitor, and track cash flow weekly and prepare cash flow reports
  • Provide support for filings adherent to foreign country reporting requirements
  • Assist in preparation of corporate consolidated financial statements by reconciling the intercompany balances with subsidiaries and recent acquisitions
  • Provide support to Financial Planning and Analysis team during monthly preparation of analysis of budget to actual results
  • Interface with external auditors for annual audit and special projects, including adoptions of new FASB pronouncements
  • Other miscellaneous Finance projects as necessary



Basic Qualifications:
  • Meeting at least one of the following two criteria sets:
    • 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience and a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting (involving less than 150 credit hours); OR
    • 3 years of experience of corporate accounting experience and either a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting (involving 150+ hours of education) or a Master's Degree in Accounting
  • 3 years of experience in performing month-end procedures including maintaining accounts, creating journal entries, account reconciliations at a corporate level
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, spreadsheet, and database applications and computerized accounting software
  • 2 years of experience preparing annual closings; experience with the audit process, including interacting with and providing support to auditors; and experience with audited general reporting requirements
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members in a professional manner; able to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, research results and account reconciliations with supporting documentation
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential material
  • Effectively work in a team environment that includes co-located and virtual members



Ideal Qualifications:
  • Professional License (CPA) preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
