About This Job

The Senior Accountant supports the Corporate Finance Department's responsibility to its shareholders, employees, and directors in the areas of accounting, accounting research, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with compilation and review of the Company's earnings release, Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K's
  • Prepare and review the Company's XBRL tagging of its Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K's
  • Provide pertinent financial information to departmental and corporate managers and to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, as well as assist with internal reporting
  • Perform accounting for the Company's derivative instruments, including valuation procedures
  • Assist with preparation of the financial statement disclosure checklist
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process
  • Perform accounting research and analysis
  • Perform accounting and financial reporting for Company's benefit plans
  • Lead special projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in performing technical accounting research and monitoring accounting and disclosure guidance
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and complete work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to frequently communicate to senior manager, officers and executives
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA certificate preferred
