Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

• Perform manager due diligence, follow internal process on investment selection, monitoring, and removal of managers, and present findings / recommendations to the Research Advisory Board

• Cover / Monitor approved managers and provide firm / team updates, performance attribution, and write ups, and maintain investment profiles and due diligence activities in the in-house research database

• Analyze economic and market trends in private markets, and engage in team discussion and presentations

• Incorporate market conditions and portfolio construction considerations into manager analysis

• Actively participate in asset class research as a component of the firm's asset allocation decisions

• Lead or engage in strategic projects that enhance the research team's process and operations

• Effectively utilize resources such as Pitchbook, eVestment, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct

• Perform special investment research as required by client needs and present at client meetings periodically

• Collaborate with advisors and consultants on client-related projects

• Lead or assist in development of the analyst team

• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or other areas that contain strong analytical course content

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least five years of professional, investment experience
  • Possesses advanced knowledge and understanding of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
  • Possesses expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
  • Expert use of applicable technology
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Experience in coaching and teaching others
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) or other approved credentials or those required by law
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
  • Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel as necessary
