How you will make contributions that matter...

The Dairy Sourcing and Scheduling Senior Analyst is responsible for executing the weekly cream and bulk dairy schedules as developed by the procurement team. The Dairy Sourcing and Scheduling Senior Analyst will direct the flow of cream and bulk dairy products to facilities and cancel/amend existing schedules as supply and demand change due to a variety of reasons and circumstances. The Dairy Sourcing and Scheduling Senior Analyst will also continuously monitor the bulk dairy markets for spot buying/selling/substitution opportunities and will communicate these opportunities to stakeholders within the organization.

• Understand Cream and bulk dairy supply requirements for all SDF production and co-manufacturing locations and execute Cream and bulk dairy weekly plan as developed by the procurement team.
  • Determine least cost delivery options by calculating/comparing FOB values versus freight options while understanding the quality implications of longer distance movements at various times of the year.

• Communicate and respond to daily supply/demand changes as necessary with the assistance of suppliers, SDF manufacturing locations and procurement personnel.

• Monitor dairy markets to identify and implement cost savings opportunities within the total supply chain of commodities and ingredients, including - developing new supply sources and raw material substitutions with the assistance of R&D and QA.
  • Develop new freight carriers in an evolving market

You are best suited for the role if you...

• Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Ag-econ or related field

• Experience - A minimum of 1 year purchasing, procurement, logistics or supply chain preferred (Dairy or other perishable segment experience preferred.)
• Experience working with numerous geographically dispersed suppliers/customers preferred.
• Preferred/Not required Additional Qualifications - (1) Experience with Dairy.com or other logistics scheduling system, (2) Dairy industry, food industry, CPG, or agricultural experience, (3) familiarity with the mechanics of perishable dairy product movement, (4) ability to plan/communicate/present and execute logistical changes, (5) ability to communicate effectively with personnel in all levels of an organization, (6) knowledge of contract management and resolution procedures preferred, (7) excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, (8) ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and challenging logistics and supply/demand scenarios.
• Flexible work arrangement including 2-3 days in an Office environment
• Respond to and manage ongoing supply chain fluctuations & modifications during evenings and weekends as required
• Able to travel up to 25%
