Senior Analyst - Market Research (Remote)

Experience:
A minimum of 5-6 years' experience working in the market research industry, preferably on the supplier side with quantitative research experience is strongly desired. Experience in the financial services industry like banking, payments is a big plus. Client servicing experience a plus.

Principal Responsibilities:
Work in a lead role as part of the Javelin Primary Research Team to manage research projects from start to finish with the following day-to-day responsibilities

• Work with a broader team of industry experts/analysts to design surveys and manage the fielding of these surveys with help of an Operations team.
• Manage the project operations and work with vendors (sample suppliers, survey programmers, data processors) to oversee survey fielding, data collection and data processing
• Formulate analyses plans, write cross-tab plans, and write PowerPoint based analysis and reports.
• Respond to specific client and internal team queries by investigating primary research data collected through the various surveys
• Primarily work on quantitative research projects but there may be qualitative projects as well, to manage

Qualifications/Experience:

Required experience:
• 5-6 years in a quantitative market research role (client or supplier side, preferably supplier side) with client service experience
• Candidates with Bachelor's or Master's degree who are comfortable with numbers and basic statistics coupled with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations in conversational business formats.
• Previous experience working in areas of financial services, mobile, or payments highly valued.

Desirable skills and knowledge:
• Strong experience in market research methodologies ( determining sample plan, quotas, sample size etc.) and survey design
• String understanding of data treatment like weighting, creating analysis plan for data tables a must
• Strong SPSS skills with basic understanding of concepts like forecasting and market sizing calculations
• Experience in working with large data sets and data tables
• Experience working with market research vendors and managing research projects including fielding operations and data management (through vendors)
• Strong written communication skills. Experience in writing Market research proposals and reports a big plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to explore data to uncover new findings and recommendations
• Understanding of basic multivariate analysis like correlation, regression (hands on experience not needed)
• Ability to easily grasp new concepts related to financial services, mobile technology, how consumers pay for goods and bills, and how financial institutions protect their customers' data and privacy.
• High degree of competence with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience in working in a client servicing role, a plus
