Job Responsibilities
 
Pennoni is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for the Transportation Division at our Hampton Roads, VA office.

 
The ideal candidate will be a person who has experience performing the following, but not limited to: 

• Lead and manage projects for VDOT, local governments and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including VDOT and NCDOT bridge inspection and bridge preservation projects.
   
  
• Manage client relationships with Public and Private Clients, including contractors.  
  
• Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff and coordinating NBIS bridge condition inspection projects and bridge preservation projects
  

Required Attributes:

• PE; VDOT S&B qualified team leader and project manager
  
• Years of experience: 15 or more.
  
• Management experience: 8-12
  
• Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
• Project Management Experience for VDOT, NCDOT and USACE bridge inspection and design projects
• NBIS bridge inspection and ancillary structure inspection experience
• Bridge and structure load rating experience using AASHTOware and other software packages.
• Experience with scope and price proposal development for bridge inspection and bridge preservation projects
• Experience with developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
  

Preferred Attributes:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for proposal pursuits, construction specification writing and client interaction.
  
  
• Experience with developing task order proposals, project scopes of work and fee estimates.
