Position Summary

The Sr. Clinical Affairs Manager, CMA (Vascular) provides insight and support to process and workflows across CMA (Vascular). Supports new product development within Critical Care and Vascular Access portfolio via research, collaboration, and subject matter expertise. Drives innovation by identifying product attributes necessary to expand into new markets, or capitalize on new clinical applications; identifies new, clinically driven product and market opportunities; and performs other related duties as required. This position requires the frequent and regular use of discretion and independent judgement with minimal oversight.

This position requires the ability to coordinate and collaborate among multiple internal stakeholders at all levels, including the ability to partner with key stakeholders in Marketing, R&D and Engineering. Must have a clear understanding of regulatory guidelines and the current trend in the vascular and critical care space.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provides key insights and serve as resource to Marketing, Engineering and R&D
  • Manages C2C phased processes for NPIs and guide CMA requirements and deliverables commercial regions through full commercialization
  • Manages ongoing assessment of clinically unmet needs across the continuum of care from acute care into post-acute markets and develop clinical value propositions that align our product portfolio and New Product Introduction (NPI) with patient care therapies
  • Developments and revises global claims matrix in collaboration with marketing and R&D
  • Recommend and develop marketing content to support the global strategy and ensures clinical accuracy and addresses safe and effective use of BU products
  • Develop and drive tactical execution of new clinical protocols, tools, educational materials, and clinical training programs for end-users & sales/marketing/clinical staff to utilize for successful implementation of our new technologies within patient care environments
  • Develop direct reports and optimize resources, through hiring, development, and performance management,.
  • Manage product verticals as clinical expert
  • Manage CMA responsibilities on engineering and R&D projects, documentation development, and approvals
  • Complete Marcom reviews as required
  • Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job
  • Adhere to applicable Teleflex IPPs, Teleflex Code of Ethics and All company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelors' Degree required. Prefer degree in health-related field.
  • License strongly preferred: Acceptable credentials include RN, RT, NP, PA or allied health
  • Possess a minimum of five years' clinical experience in a critical care environment
  • Clinical proficiency in the area of clinical training and vascular access
  • Previous experience leading teams or managing direct reports required
  • Medical device industry experience preferred
  • Regulatory knowledge required
  • Clinical and Medical Affairs experience preferred

  • High attention to detail and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Pro-active and results oriented
  • Strong research, logic and reasoning ability
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business in an ethical manner
  • Strong understanding of principles used to find, analyze and assess clinical studies and appropriately apply them in the application of Teleflex Medical products.
  • Ability to read, understand and abide by company procedures. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and report on findings.
  • Ability to work successfully in a home office environment
  • Ability to travel a maximum of 50% of the time, including overnight travel
