Position Overview:
This position supports credit/risk management activities including credit administration, loan analysis, approvals within delegated authorities, monitoring, servicing and reporting of credit within the organizations' AgTech portfolio. The incumbent provides guidance and resources for structuring and ongoing servicing of finance programs offered thru AgTech. Works with the AgTech leadership group and other leaders across the organization to build an efficient, cost effective, loan origination process that enhances overall client experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains the AgTech financing program credit policy for operating, intermediate and real estate loan lending programs. Communicates policy requirements internally and with external business partners.
  • Researches and makes recommendations for potential adjustments to credit policy based on historical performance and other data analytics.
  • With delegated credit authorities, oversees credit analysis, approval process and ongoing servicing for AgTech portfolio.
  • Develops and maintains key relationships with external business partners to train them on AgTech financing programs, credit underwriting requirements, servicing expectations and help grow the portfolio.
  • Collaborates with sales, loan operations, legal, finance and related teams in the onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing business partners.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in agriculture credit and operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, and portfolio management.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, team building, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external high stress situations and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications and client databases such as Web Equity, CRM, and loan origination systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
